| The Johann Strauss Orchestra Frankfurt resp. the Frankfurt Symphony was founded in 1986 by Günther Gräf. Its nucleus of 34 musicians includes members of the hr Radio Orchestra as well as musicians from the orchestras of the opera houses in Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz and Darmstadt. The diversified experience of its members allows the orchestra to perform a wide variety of concert programs; highlights were certainly a Spain tour (1992), the live television concert with Udo Jürgens (1998) and two concert tours to Seoul/Korea (2006 and 2007). |
